It was taken this evening, Thursday, August 28, 2014, and you can see the start of the leaves turning and falling to the ground.

It’s still August! It’s still Summer! Where’s my Global Warming?

It only reached 76º F today in Jim Thorpe, and the forecast is for tonight’s low to be 51º F . . . in August! We haven’t seen a 90º F degree day since June, and we have almost never used the air conditioning this Summer.

  1. It hit 105 today in SW Florida and it’s been triple digits every day for the last 2 weeks, even heavy rain doesn’t knock temps down for more than an hour or so. BTW, Dana, are you watching the Raiders and Seahawks tonight? There’s a real Quarterback calling signals for the Silver and Black: Carr #4. It’s been a while.

  2. During the first half Carr played the position about as well as I’ve ever seen a Raider play it, and that includes the glory days of The Mad Bomber and The Snake. Matt Schaub may be designated as the starting QB but his performance so far doesn’t come close to the magic show Carr put on last night. He put fear in the eyes of the defensive secondary, and its been a while since a Raider QB did that. I’ll bet the issue is front and center at Raider central this morning.
