We know that in the 1976 remake of King Kong, the mammoth monkey climbs the South Tower of the World Trade Center. There, accosted by men with flamethrowers, the gigantic gorilla — and I hope you appreciate these efforts at alliteration — leaps across to the North Tower.
Could it possibly be that the twin towers were weakened just enough by the awesome ape to have made them fatally vulnerable to the attacks on September 11th and enabled Osama bin Laden’s martyred minions to bring down the buildings? Inquiring minds want to know!
