  1. Perry isn’t a liberal, if by “Liberal” you mean men like JFK, Hubert Humphrey, and Walter Mondale, men who were basically gentlemen even if we disagreed with some of their ideas. Perry is a left winger, and wants power above all else. He wants to silence his enemies, and threatenens to destroy their lives if they won’t shut up. He thinks intimidation is the way to win arguments. He needs to be banned for 15 days to teach him a lesson. Maybe he will learn some humility and that threatening people won’t be tolerated.

  2. That said, as the economy continues to recover, we can work on bringing the House back to earth in the 2014 lame duck, while planning for the 2016 cycle to make more Dem gains.

Dems realize very well that we have a major fiscal challenge. Based on past performance (read Clinton and some Repubs), we can phase in austerity while raising some taxes and making necessary government operations more efficient, like in the delivery of quality health care for our fellow citizens.

  3. Preey’s a leftist, not a liberal. Dana’s a liberal, JFK was a liberal, George W Bush was a liberal, and Mitt Romney is a liberal. Liberalism respects the rights and opinions of others. Leftists, like Barack Obama don’t give a damn what you think, it’s all their way and only their way, and it’s death panels for anyone who gets in the way.

Liberalism is Preey’s sheep’s clothing, like his Messiah, he’s more of a Stalinist, it’s that arrogant totalitarian undercurrent that separates liberals from leftists.

Preey seeks personal information so he can use it. Don’t give it to him. He’s malevolent, he’s motivated, and he’s out for revenge. Just be grateful he’s so stupid he reveals himself online. Forewarned is forearmed.

Two legged cockroaches are always lurking around in the shadows looking for crumbs and bits of information they can use to insult, threaten, undermine, or blackmail. You can leave out poison bait or you can turn on the lights, turn the tables, and watch them run, either way.

  4. On the election outcome, if you refuse to believe Del Dem’s analysis of the polling data, then check out Nate Silver’s (NYT) analysis.

Nate Silver uses standard statistics to analyzed the results of all polls over time, to determine voting margins and trends therefrom.

The only remaining unknown which I see is the impact of Republican voter suppression and voter fraud efforts, especially in OH. Even Nate Silver does not know how to handle this factor, since I have not seen him address the topic to date. That said, Nate’s analysis also provides us with a sanity check on the reported results, a very good thing!

  5. Note Perry isn’t even trying to lie his way out of the fact he threatened Koolo’s livelihood again. No, Perry is just trying to divert attention away from his malevolent and forbidden behavior.

And 15 days suspended means nothing to Perry, as he’s already proven, having been previously suspended 15 days for threatening Koolo’s livelihood, among other malevolent actions Perry took.

  6. There is Passive-Aggressive Perry, combing the radical blogs yet again and plagiarizing their talking points … as if we give a shit. Just imagine if Dictator Obama loses … they’ll have to restrain Perry and give him a lobotomy just to keep him from harming others.

  7. WW wrote:

The only remaining unknown is the actual vote; that’s the only poll which actually counts. Or should we simply assume that you will tell us, in the event of a Romney victory, that it could only have been via Republican cheating?

  8. Perry needs an excuse. He knows Obama will lose, his Jimmy Carter like management of the economy is sure to draw a backlash from the voters. Blaming it on Bush won’t cut it when Obama has had 4 years to fix things. But Perry can’t believe his messiah or his left wing ideology are flawed, so he needs someone to blame if things don’t go his way.

Back to the original topic: should Perry be banned? I know it’s your site and you get to make the rules, but my concern is, if he is not banned, it will be a sign to him that he got away with it this time, and, like a disobedient child, he will think he can get away with it next time as well.

  9. The only remaining unknown is the actual vote; that’s the only poll which actually counts. Or should we simply assume that you will tell us, in the event of a Romney victory, that it could only have been via Republican cheating?

Republican cheating? From Lee Atwater on, it’s been their mantra. Fortunately it has not worked every time. And in this election cycle, the Courts have pushed back against voter suppression, but voter fraud, manipulated voting machines, we might never know, which then constitutes an insidious threat. There is a history of alleged Republican voter fraud of this type, in Ohio. And in Ohio, we’ve already seen that an over zealous Republican Secretary of State had to be reined in by the Courts. And finally, voting machines like Diebold, are produced by a company with a history of Republican partisan behavior.

So of course, I am concerned!

  10. And in Ohio, we’ve already seen that an over zealous Republican Secretary of State had to be reined in by the Courts. And finally, voting machines like Diebold, are produced by a company with a history of Republican partisan behavior.

You mean problems like using a touchscreen to say Romney, and it records Obama type problems????

  11. For the “man” who is always copying and pasting about supposed voter “suppression”:

“We can learn a lot from Democrats by what they oppose. While Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings tells us there is no vote fraud, fellow Maryland congressional candidate Wendy Rosen is committing federal felonies by voting both in Maryland and Florida. While the NAACP is leading the charge against photo voter identification, Lessadolla Sowers from the NAACP heads off to prison for voting for dead voters. While Brian Moran, Virginia’s Democrat chair, rails against voter integrity, his nephew Pat is caught on camera plotting the use of forged documents at the polls to help President Obama.”

    Indeed. Link.

  12. Like all Marxist true-believers, washed in the blood of social envy, personal greed, and class warfare, Preey is intellectually incapable of questioning leftist dogma, it just isn’t done, to do so so thoroughly stigmatizes the apostate it puts him outside the boundaries of redemption.

Anything but lockstep adherence to approved leftist opinions and Preey would be consigned to the ranks of the damned and shunned by his former unionized comrades in the Great Crusade and excommunicated as a turncoat and a betrayer to the cause.

No more able to question the pillars of collectivist ideology than a Islamic fundamentalist can survive questioning the validity of Mohammed’s epiphany, Preey and all the other ideological adherents to that outworn totalitarian creed isolate themselves safely within the iron circle of the party line, Each in his own way obediently withdraws his hesitating foot well before approaching the limiting perimeter of the forbidden zone’s freedom of thought.

So, faced with an unending series of national political and economic failures and unable to identify or discuss leftism’s shortcomings, Preey puts his hands over his eyes and regurgitates personally comforting but wildly irrelevant fairy tales. When that doesn’t work he gets angry and calls names, then he makes stupid threats, and that’s the point we’re reached now.

Preey’s just an old fool who wasted his life in service to a false god and now he’s going to his well deserved personal hell in a hand-basket along with the Messiah he worshiped in vain. Yet, even now, Preey still continues his singularly unsuccessful attempt to foist leftist delusions on others as if that failed enterprise could somehow give meaning to all those wasted years.

  13. Someone reserve a warm padded cell for you-know-who. The delusions and conspiracies are overtaking him.

I’m reserving my “warm padded cell” for the cowardly lying cry-babies on this blog.

But seriously, there is a documented history of GOP voter fraud, and it continues to this day.

For example, one of many, there is alleged voter fraud in FL, according to a report from a credible source:

The Republican Party promptly fired a voter registration contractor this week after the firm, Strategic Allied Consulting, turned in illegible, incorrect, and falsified voter registration forms to Florida election officials.

Saying the party has “zero tolerance” for voter fraud, the GOP also filed complaints against the company with the Florida Secretary of State’s office. The company, run by long-time GOP operative Nathan Sproul, says a single employee was responsible for the forged signatures, though the problem, by Friday, had spread to 10 counties.

“This is an issue we take extremely seriously,” RNC spokesman Sean Spicer told CBS News. “When allegations were brought to our attention we severed all ties to the firm.”

While reasonable, those explanations could have trouble finding traction among the US electorate, which has watched battles erupt in mostly swing states from Florida to Ohio over control of voter rolls, and heated debates about potential disenfranchisement of key Democratic constituencies, poorer, minority, and elderly voters.

Of course, when their hands were caught in the cookie jar, the FL GOP reacted. But there’s more:

Even more to the point of third-party voter registration contractors, the League of Women Voters sued Florida earlier this month after it instituted a new 48-hour deadline for turning in registration forms. The state relented, reinstating a 10-day deadline.

What’s more, the fraudulent registration findings have echoes of the 2008 controversies over the now-disbanded ACORN community activism group, which was accused by Republicans in 2008 of falsifying forms.

Brad Friedman, who runs the electoral watchdog Brad Blog, helped break the story, tying it to other emerging GOP registration controversies in California and Colorado. Other states where Sproul’s firm had been hired to gather registrations have not reported any problems.

“A massive GOP voter registration scheme, which appears to involve the upper-echelons of the national party, [has begun] to emerge,” Mr. Friedman writes.

Keep your eye open for the antics of GOP operative Nathan Sproul’s Strategic Allied Consultants, a registration firm hired by the GOP to be active in battle ground states like FL, CO, and VA. In VA, an employee was found to have discarded registration forms in a dumpster. Another was discovered asking people what party they favored before offering a registration form to be filled out.

In VA, it should be noted, Dem Rep Jim Moran’s son was caught in a sting by O’Keefe, when he appeared willing to commit voter fraud. His father fired him immediately from his campaign. This is the same O’Keefe who carried out sting operations against ACORN in the 2008 cycle, where it was found that he edited his video tapes to make it appear to carry the message against ACORN, which led to their demise, a gross miscarriage of fairness in my view.

  14. “Breitbart” is hardly a credible report!

They’re at least as credible as any MSM outlet these days, that’s for sure.

But seriously, there is a documented history of GOP voter fraud, and it continues to this day.

How can a conspiracy theorist seriously say the word “seriously?” But seriously, any radical liberal who believes that GOP has even a modicum of the voting tricks that Democrats and their shady allies possess is, well, just like Perry has always proven himself to be! After all, which party supports felons voting? You guys LOVE criminals and crime!

  15. WW wrote:

“Breitbart” is hardly a credible report!

Actually, it is. Our friends on the left keep hollering about Breitbart being biased, which it most certainly is, but somehow they haven’t been able to do anything really radical like discredit its reporting. And, of course, what Breitbart was reporting was a signed-and-sworn statement by a poll watcher; perhaps you can dispute whether the poll watcher’s report was accurate, but that has no bearing on whether Breitbart’s report of the statement is accurate or not.

And it has been reported that voting machines in Guilford County, North Carolina have been recording Mitt Romney votes in early voting as votes for President Obama, which Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert confirmed, claiming it was simply a correctable machine calibration error. Yeah, I believe that excuse.

The same thing happened in Ohio.

The machine pictured in the first linked story is the same type used in my county. There is a review page at the end, where the voter is supposed to check his choices before hitting the “Cast Ballot” button; I wonder just how carefully this is done, and by what percentage of voters.

In the primary election last spring, we were supposed to have a “dry run” of the photo identification system, where the poll workers were supposed to request it, but lack of ID was not going to stop someone from voting. I had my ID ready, and the obviously partisan Democrat poll employee angrily said that she didn’t need or want to see it. Why should I trust that poll worker not to set the machine to tabulate votes for Republicans as votes for Democrats?

I would like to see voting machines which produce a paper ballot which the voter can examine, which is then read by an optical reader — we do demand instant results, after all! — and which allows the paper ballots to be saved and stored for tabulation verification purposes, if necessary. That is not what the machines in my Democrat-majority county do.

  16. WW wrote:

The full tapes were made available, as you well know, and ACORN lost its funding because the tapes were accurate.

That was a standard technique of James O’Keefe: he would release edited tapes of some form of liberal mischief, our friends on the left would scream, “Edited! Untrue! Inaccurate!” at which Mr O’Keefe would then produce the unedited tapes, which always confirmed the message of the edited ones. That established his veracity, and gave double publicity to his efforts; very smart, indeed!

I am getting to dislike these “early voting” systems more and more; they seem like systems open to a lot of mischief and fraud. I would like to see a system which allows only absentee ballots, early paper ballots cast only at the voter registrars’ offices, and voting at the polling paces on election day.

  17. Real election fraud or just one lazy employee making up phony registrations to cover his goldbricking?

The following excerpt is from Preey’s linked article in the CSM. It looks like his example of GOP voter fraud may well have been blown out of all proportion and be nothing more than the act of a single lazy employee hired to register voters who got caught faking a few registrations to boost his paycheck.

It’s far from clear whether the registrations would have led to voter fraud, or if they were simply attempts by employees to show that they’d done their jobs. That point may be underscored by the amateurish nature of the fraud.

Problems included the lack of Social Security numbers, fake house numbers, and dates of birth that didn’t match the name.

“It was that flagrant,” elections supervisor Ann W. Bodenstein told the Los Angeles Times. “In no way did they look genuine. Anyone with any sense would have known there was something wrong.”

In addition, the article’s writers maliciously resorted to the notorious Brad Freidman and his Brad Blog to tie this isolated example of a single individual’s misbehavior to the entire Republican Party, even though they admit that Other states where Sproul’s firm had been hired to gather registrations have not reported any problems.

True to form, the despicible Freidman makes mountains from molehills and trumpets the thoroughly unsubstantiated charge that “A massive GOP voter registration scheme, which appears to involve the upper-echelons of the national party, [has begun] to emerge,”

For Freidman, no charge is too dirty, and no dirty rat is too diseased to make excuses for if it serves the darkest motives of the corrupt Democrat Party. Look into Brad Freidman and his association with and defense of the Speedway Bomber to see how low Freidman is willing to go. The despicible Freidman and his murderous and terrorist collaborators have been topics at Patterico’s site many times.

“Breitbart” is hardly a credible report!

This coming from the man who constantly quotes the lie-filled, absolutely fringe-Left Puff Ho, which is not at all credible. And, as the Editor already proved, Breitbart is extremely credible. As has been proven time and time again.

  19. York, that would be the precincts with Black Panther thugs out front dressed in black uniforms and wielding billy clubs to prevent elderly white voters from exercising their right to vote.

  20. And remember, Perry has at least temporarily given up his lie regarding his threatening behavior. He’s now trying to divert attention away from the fact that Perry is a lying, threatening, unrepentant Socialist goon.

  21. Hitch, Preey has a simple matrix for determining the credibility of a news source: if the source extols the virtues of Joe Biden and considers him eminently qualified to step into the Oval Office as Obama’s replacement then they’re deemed credible.

However, if the source considers Joe Biden to be a ridiculous clown and a bumbling fool so demonstrably incapable of coherent speech that the very suggestion of a President Biden provokes howls of laughter followed by icy dread, then the source can’t possibly pass Preey’s credibility litmus test.

  22. ropelight wrote:

Which would make him different from President Obama how?

OK, OK, President Obama most certainly is capable of coherent speech, which is how he got to be President in the first place. But his ideas are just as whacky as Vice President Biden’s, and have been put to the test . . . and failed.

  23. Obama appears to speak well when he’s flanked by TelePrompTers, but viva voce he’s nearly as gaff prone as the mumbling bumbler from Wilmington and every bit as equally outside the mainstream of modern American political and economic thought

  24. And remember, Perry has at least temporarily given up his lie regarding his threatening behavior. He’s now trying to divert attention away from the fact that Perry is a lying, threatening, unrepentant Socialist goon.

Make no mistake — he will be be back in no time denying he ever threatened me (and others). It’s what schizophrenic habitual liars DO.

  25. Koolo, if Preey is taking lessons from Brett Kimberlin, The Speedway Bomber and Democrat activist, resident in the neighboring state of Maryland at last notice, you might consider notifying your local police department that SWATting could be a possibility.

It’s a good idea to be on-record if something truly dangerous might be in the offing. It’s happened to too many bloggers too many times before to ignore the possibility. No one knows the extent of the evil that lurks in the hearts of these belly crawlin’ leftist bastards.

  26. Ropelight now takes his turn:

Koolo, if Preey is taking lessons from Brett Kimberlin, The Speedway Bomber and Democrat activist, resident in the neighboring state of Maryland at last notice, you might consider notifying your local police department that SWATting could be a possibility.

This is typical of the venom that emanates from your blog, Mr Editor. It reflects on them, and on your blog, all because of ideological differences.

    Maybe not.

I stand up for the well being of our students.

koolo’s behavior on here, if repeated in the class room, which it probably is, would constitute predatory behavior by a bully against children. Hube is in exactly the same category. As a matter of fact, Mr Editor, you yourself, by your Comment and Content Policy, have in the past exercised your prerogative to limit what you call “liberty”. So playing that card this time on me is not impressive, with all the other crap going on here on a daily basis.

Face it, the amount of abuse given me on here by these extremist ideologues, koolo, ropelight, Eric, and Hitchcock being the worst offenders (Who’s left?), is reprehensible, but is part of the rhetoric we see repeated time and again by these people, and you do nothing about it. Your own modeling of civility has been of no good influence on these people.

If I knew koolo’s identity, I would turn him in in a New York minute. Unfortunately, I don’t, so there is no threat which can be carried out. However, he considers it a threat, because he knows his behavior here would trigger an investigation, if known. We must not have a person with his obvious character deficiencies in our classrooms teaching our children, period. If he is worried about his livelihood, then he needs to demonstrate that he has gotten control of himself.

Note that even when you asked for civility on your Friday thread, koolo was unable to stifle himself, totally ignoring your request. Same with Hitchcock. Some respect they showed to you!

Koolo surely said that he would apologize, which he did not do in a timely fashion. What kind of an adult person would push the limit until caught, then apologize? This is what bullies do until they see they have caused harm, which in some cases could be serious harm, as we’ve seen reported in the news in recent years. Then they apologize, when often it is too late, the harm already done. Does koolo do this bullying in his classroom, push it to the limit, then apologize? If so, what kind of damage has he done to our children?

If this means that I am to be banned from your blog, so be it. Then your cowardly right wing friends will be most pleased, as they have been lobbying for this for many months. They can give out the heat, but they can’t stand it themselves, like crybabies. How childish and immature is that?

  27. So, according to Preey he’s without guilt, he didn’t do anything wrong, he’s just looking out for the little children when he threatens to turn commenters here in to the authorities for the degenerate crime of refusing to knuckle under to his totalitarian nostrums.

Gee Whiz Preey, I didn’t realize that when you falsely accused me of employing private investigators to uncover your personal information it was only to save the children.

How misunderstood and put upon you must feel. Perhaps the children will reward you with a statue in the park, or maybe even a badge.

  28. Do you need any more proof that Perry is an unrepentant tyrant, willing to threaten the livelihood of others whenever he wishes? Do you need any more proof Perry will never repent from his hate-filled terroristic threats? Do you need any more proof that Perry is a malignancy to this blog?

There it is. Mr. Editor — Perry has repeated his threat again for all to see. You said such threats are unacceptable.

You are a sorry soul, Perry, so very typical of radical progressives. If you feel so “abused” here, there is a simple solution: Leave. That, or change the way in which you address the majority of the commenters here. As I said, if you do that, you might be pleasantly surprised. But, no — you just upped the ante, not even a twinge of remorse or apology for your preposterous threats, a supposedly intelligent person who can’t fathom the difference between one’s career and free time (adult) personal political discussions.

Just remember what I said yesterday: You’d better grow eyes out the back of your head if you EVER make the minutest move on your threats. Not to mention everyone else associated with your sorry, scumbag self. You want to destroy me and as a result hurt many associated w/me merely b/c you cannot handle heated political discussions? Then I will do the same to you and yours. Bank on it, mister.

[Wagonwheel's comments have been dealt with by suspension. However, your last paragraph constitutes a personal threat just as much as did Wagonwheel's, and can be tolerated no more than can Wagonwheel's threats to your job. Do not repeat such a statement, because I will be quite even-handed on this subject.]

  30. And this is the REAL kicker:

If this means that I am to be banned from your blog, so be it. Then your cowardly right wing friends will be most pleased, as they have been lobbying for this for many months. They can give out the heat, but they can’t stand it themselves, like crybabies. How childish and immature is that?

Can’t stand it? Crybabies? Childish and immature? This — from the miscreant who threatens the very livelihood of those with whom he disagrees?

Is that “standing the heat?” Is that crybabyish? Immature? Childish?

You just cannot make this shit up, folks …

  31. Maybe we’re in this phase???

Now Entering the Voter Intimidation Phase

posted on November 3, 2012 by Tad Cronn

With the president’s lackluster campaign and miserable four-year record nearly behind them and the media safely ignoring the Benghazi coverup, Democrats are stepping up the voter intimidation phase of the Obama re-election effort.

King Obama, fresh off a harrowing series of Hurricane Sandy photo ops, returned to his usual ways, calling for supporters to seek “revenge” against Mitt Romney.

At a campaign stop in Ohio on Friday, the sparse crowd began booing at the mention of Romney’s name. The Man Who Would Be King told audience members, “Vote! Voting’s the best revenge!”

“Revenge” for what, exactly? If anyone should be the target of voters’ desire for vengeance, it should be the current officeholder, but logic is the last thing to expect from a campaign that has spent its time focusing on Big Bird, tax returns and persuading young women to lose their virginity. (See a funny parody here.)

Obama and his followers feed each other. They pick up on his hate-mongering vibe and he perpetuates the cycle by encouraging their blood lust. Like yin and yang, it’s hard to tell where one begins and the other ends.

  32. Koolo surely said that he would apologize, which he did not do in a timely fashion. What kind of an adult person would push the limit until caught, then apologize?

I did apologize. And I apologized for my first comment in that thread yesterday (which I actually didn’t think was over the line) to our Editor via a private channel.

(And no, Perry — I could care less if you believe me or not. Editor is the only one that matters.)

  33. Or Maybe it’s THIS:

Valerie Jarret – “After We Win This Election, It’s Our Turn. Payback Time.” (WSI)
    Sunday, November 4, 2012

Openly declared as “Obama’s Brain”, and the figure whose second story West Wing office has been described by political insiders as the true Oval Office of the Obama White House, Valerie Jarrett is letting it be known that if Barack Obama secures election victory next week, there may be, quite literally, hell to pay for those who opposed him.

NOTE: This update was forwarded to me by Wall Street Insider who indicated they received it this morning via a direct source associated with Barack Obama’s campaign headquarters in Chicago.

Thought you would be very interested to hear of this. It appears this Jarrett creature is quite confident of a victory, and has every intention of making those who opposed her, and her boy, of paying dearly for their seeming crimes against them. As Election Day is nearly upon us, more and more are willing to speak outside the inner circle. Such is the case with this message received by me this morning from a source who has been working for us via Chicago for several months now. Their campaign appears increasingly confident, I assume, due to the now adoring media coverage of their boy’s little march with the commoners following this week’s storm. It has been a revolting display by some in our media has it not? Here then is the most recent report I received our Chicago source. I first passed it along to our mutual friend with no response, so now I pass it along to you in the hopes you deem it worthy to publish as its sharing will serve a related purpose with another I hope to secure a favor from in the very near future. And if you have any concerns regarding the source – don’t. They are being thoroughly protected despite their understandable trepidation. As you have been.

  34. If so, what kind of damage has he done to our children?

Quit pretending that you “Care” about the children, they are just pawns to you as you try to ruin another person’s job because they keep beating you in arguments. Koolo’s job is none of your business, so butt out. You want to be a rat, a rat fink who will rat somebody out just so you can have the satisfaction of making him shut up. Be a man, Perry, or leave. If you can’t handle losing arguments, then find another blog full of left wing sycophants.

  35. I stated, very explicitly:

Personal threat deleted; threats to another’s livelihood will not be tolerated, period. Personal insults are one thing, and have been tolerated for far too long, though I have been enforcing policy on this thread, but no commenter will be allowed to threaten another’s employment, marriage, liberty or anything else, on this site. — Editor

Wagonwheel commented several times after that warning was posted. He further admitted that yes, he did threaten koolo’s job, in a comment I left intact as a record.

    Wagonwheel then wrote:

I stand up for the well being of our students.

koolo’s behavior on here, if repeated in the class room, which it probably is, would constitute predatory behavior by a bully against children. Hube is in exactly the same category. I have yet to see a comment from anyone else which threatened anyone else’s job. “Liberty,” when put in the form I had used (“threatening someone’s livelihood or liberty crosses the line”), quite obviously refers to public statements that someone here has violated the law. I must say that I am stunned that you would continue in this vein. You complained rather vociferously at the use of your real name by others, something I have redacted when necessary, and something to which John Hitchcock, who very much wishes to use it, has refrained from doing here (though not on his site, where he sets the rules) specifically because of my wishes on this matter.

This is just a blog! Koolo, under the cover of anonymity, has expressed his political opinions as well as his personal ones; using the classroom for his political opinions is also something that would get him in trouble, and every schoolteacher knows that, and I’m certain he refrains, else he would have been in trouble a long time ago, especially since his political opinions are diametrically opposed by both the education bureaucracy and the teachers’ unions. This site may be his outlet for that.

If this means that I am to be banned from your blog, so be it. Then your cowardly right wing friends will be most pleased, as they have been lobbying for this for many months. They can give out the heat, but they can’t stand it themselves, like crybabies. How childish and immature is that?
