Done too early in the month and it’s been shot down several times. That effect was wiped out already by at least the VP Debate.

The last time that happened for a Democratic President, Jimmy Carter, it didn’t turn out so well for him.

  5. The polls show Obama has lost Florida, including losing the Florida Hispanic voters, has lost North Carolina and Virginia, has lost Indiana, is losing Ohio, is in danger of losing Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nevada, has lost Colorado, is in danger of losing New Hampshire, is losing voters with high school educations, voters with some college, voters with college degrees, married women, men, coal miners (including Union coal miners). The polls show Obama has lost 20 to 28 points among independent voters compared to his showing in 2008. And all the polls are trending away from Obama and toward “R Squared”.

I said before that I think Obama will have been voted out of office before any of the Mountain Time Zone states are reported. At this rate, Obama could be voted out of office before crossing the Mississippi. And that would be a very good thing for the entire country and for the free world (what’s left of it).

I live in Minnesota and voted last week via absentee ballot. I hope your prediction turns out to be right, since I had assumed my vote for Romney was a wasted vote, seeing as this state hasn’t elected a Republican for president in decades. I would love to be proven wrong!

  7. I don’t know if Minnesota is winnable, but the polls say it is definitely in play this year. Obama is weak there, like he is many other usually solid Democrat places, and among many normally solid Democrat constituents.

  8. Editor says:

I’d say that Minnesota is winnable for Mitt Romney, though, in the end, he may not carry that state. The Minnesotans are definitely inclined toward liberalism, on an emotional level, but they also have a sense of practicality about themselves that appreciates actual success . . . and has a problem with failure. President Obama’s term has been one of failure.

  9. ropelight says:

It may be wishful thinking on my part, but based on his record of unprecedented failure Obama shouldn’t carry a single state, with the possible exceptions of Hawaii and Illinois. If he was white his own party would have insisted he step down while there was still time to field a viable candidate.

I find the title of this book to be ironic. The Manchurian President is close enough to the Manchurian Candidate. But our estemed Editor, Eric and Gretchen will tell you that in 2008 I was calling BO The Manchurian Candidate. Then his life was a mytery to most people, but they didn’t care.

Occasionally like with Joe the Plumber, BO let his true intentions to be known. And FIVE Days before the election the brain addled were brainwashed enough to miss the statement from BO that “we” were five days away from FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING AMERICA. I would say on that department, it is the only promise he kept. The rest were ignored.

For some of us, we’re paying the price now. For Obots, they’re no different now than they were in 2008. BO can do no wrong. For the rest of us, he can do no right. I know some will say this book is far out to the right and blow it off. Do so at your peril. But if BO is re-elected, we’re done. Unfortunately history repeats itself. The Leftist teachers hid what is happening well. Knowing history, hmmm, taught why America is BAD. For my own proof, my daughter was in 6th grade or so when she came home from school and declared she was ashamed of being white.

Minnesota is a bit strange. Though generally thought as liberal, the suburbs and country tend to be conservative, although the north part, where the mining is, tends to vote pro-labor. We have elected Rod Grams, Tim Pawlenty, and Michele Bachmann. The cities tend liberal, which explains Keith bin Ellison.

Also, we have two ballot initiatives this year. One is to keep marriage man-woman, the other to require voter ID. Needless to say, I voted for both.

The OCTOBER NON-SURPRISE: Now bimBO has to play mini-macho-me and let it be “leaked” that we’re going to take out he terrorists Freedom Fighters for Democracy who killed our Libyan Ambassador and Three others in a SECRET RAID. THis sounds like a part in the movie AIRPLANE when the guy says we’re going on a raid that leaves at 05:00, flies east for two hours, forms up to take out the target at where ever and fly this heading to return. When asked when he would return, he says that’s classified. Way to go bimBO.

Report: White House considering retaliatory Libya strike

    By BYRON TAU
    10/15/12 4:17 PM EDT
    The Associated Press reports:

Administration officials say the White House has put special operations strike forces on standby and moved drones into the skies above Africa, ready to hit militant targets from Libya to Mali, if U.S. investigators can find the al-Qaida-linked group responsible for the death of the U.S. ambassador in Libya.

But the officials say the administration also is weighing whether the short-term payoff of being able to claim retribution against al-Qaida is worth the risk that such strikes would be ineffective and rile governments in the region.

Details were provided by three current and one former administration official, as well as an analyst who was approached by the White House for help. All four spoke only on condition of anonymity.

White House Prepares Retaliation for Ambassador’s Death

    Monday, 15 Oct 2012 02:04 PM

The White House has put special operations strike forces on standby and moved drones into the skies above Africa, ready to strike militant targets from Libya to Mali — if investigators can find the al-Qaida-linked group responsible for the death of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Libya.

But officials say the administration, with weeks until the presidential election, is weighing whether the short-term payoff of exacting retribution on al-Qaida is worth the risk that such strikes could elevate the group’s profile in the region, alienate governments the U.S. needs to fight it in the future and do little to slow the growing terror threat in North Africa.

Details on the administration’s position and on its search for a possible target were provided by three current and one former administration official, as well as an analyst who was approached by the White House for help. All four spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the high-level debates publicly.

The dilemma shows the tension of the White House’s need to demonstrate it is responding forcefully to al-Qaida, balanced against its long-term plans to develop relationships and trust with local governments and build a permanent U.S. counterterrorist network in the region.
