Your Editor wonders why the license number was photoshopped out; no harm in identifying the true idiots. Our friends on the left think that Republicans are trying to suppress the votes for Democrats with photo ID requirements, but real Democratic vote suppression would be by having IQ test requirements to vote.
Of course, I also noted that the owner bought a Japanese car.
I hate those “Coexist” bumper stickers. They always sound like an order. What if we don’t WANT to coexist? Should the Israelis have to coexist with Palestinian terrorist scum? Should we have to coexist with a religion that has been waging war on the West since the 600′s? And I don’t want to coexist with atheists who hate God and all religion.
President Obama’s uncharacteristically poor performance in the first debate will not change the election outcome, because the fundamentals have not changed. What are the fundamentals?
* The economy is on track albeit it weak;
* jobs are being created, though not enough;
* unemployment is coming down, though not enough;
* the stock market has doubled;
* the country remains safe;
* the dollar remains as the global currency.
Considering the state of the economy in 01/2009, the domestic headwinds produced by an disrespectful, obstructive and dysfunctional opposition party, an ultra-greedy possibly criminal financial sector, the foreign headwinds by the euro nations, and a world wide economic slowdown, our country has done reasonably well under our current leadership. No president could have done better, in my view.
In the first debate, as I pointed out on the night of the debate, Governor Romney tacked to the center where President Obama is:
* Romney took ownership of RomneyCare;
* regulation is essential;
* abortion OK for rape, incest, or preserve life of the mother;
* increase government investment in infrastructure;
* no removal of gun restrictions;
* rich taxpayers will pay their share.
It remains to be seen if these center-focused issues are not just more Romney flip-flops, as will become evident if properly challenged.

He’s always “taken ownership” of Romneycare you cluck, after all it is called Romneycare, is it not? But Romneycare is okay simply because it is a state decision, not a federal mandate and national tax. Health insurance is not the business of the feds. And Romneycare did not require the hiring of 16,000 new IRS agents. BTW, are they gonna hire 16,000 new doctors to treat all those millions of new insureds?
* regulation is essential;
All conservatives believe “regulation is essential” but over-regulation is an economy killer, a jobs killer and a business killer. When we’re producing 6,000 regulations a year it’s way, way too much.
* abortion OK for rape, incest, or preserve life of the mother;
We’ve always believed just that. But 1.3 million abortions have nothing to do with that, they have to do with killing babies for birth control, nothing more and nothing less.
* increase government investment in infrastructure;
The government has been taxing trucks, cars, roads, using tolls, gas taxes and hundreds of other taxes and fees to “maintain infrastructure” for decades. Where is that money? Who stole it and why was it not used for infrastructure? And BTW, don’t treat us like fools. Government dosen’t “invest” in Jack Shit! It SPENDS that which it takes from us.
* no removal of gun restrictions:
Are your guns restricted? What the hell are you talking about?
* rich taxpayers will pay their share.
Rich taxpayers, as I and others have documented here many times before, pay MORE than their “fair share”. Your envy notwithstanding the top 5% of “rich taxpayers” pay 65% of all taxes. You know it, we know it so stop lying about it. Just admit you really want to steal the rest of their money and if they were taxed at 95% to you it would not be enough.
The fundamentals suck. That’s why Obama lost, because he has no record to run on. And he doesn’t have any plans for the future to fix it, either, other than more taxes and spending.
