Happy Anniversary to One of My Favorite Inventions!

On March 7, 1876, Alexander Graham Bell patented  the telephone.

The first switchboard began operating in Boston in 1877.

I absolutely love talking on the phone…landlines, cell phones–I even miss pay phones and those cozy little phone booths!

In fact, if it weren’t for Mr. Bell’s wonderful invention, I would have missed out on all those delightful Super Tuesday robo calls!

  1. Why, how absolutely delightful for you to have gotten the robo-calls! Alas! With my landline long discontinued, I’ll be missing out on the robocalls when the Pennsylvania primary arrives. Of course, by then, maybe the nomination will have been settled.
